Background
In 2022, I began interning Producer and photographer Becca Major at Nimble (a small, in-person team based in Chicago), MediaMonks.
Three months later, I was hired on the team as a freelance production coordinator until March of 2023 when I became a concierge and project manager at PXP Studios.
My Role(s)
Nimble headed social content (static images and GIFS) for 5 Mondelez brands; OREO, Sour Patch Kids & Swedish Fish, RITZ, BelVita, and Chips Ahoy.
For Pre-Production, I would receive the clients' briefs, collaborate with our photographer on how we could realistically create each photo, and began sourcing props, set pieces, and product.
During Production, my roles consisted of 1) communicating with the client about their notes by helping them define what they want, 2) ideating the next shot with the producer/photographer, 3) creating sets and styling props, 4) prepping each shot ahead of time, 5) keeping the team on schedule, 6) greeting and briefing talent while also handling their paperwork, and 7) coordinating lunch.
For Post-Production, I would handle all paperwork from our team and talent, organize our budget with PO's and receipts from the shoot, and deliver final assets to the clients.
About Me
Production Assistant Power
I love content ideation and storytelling, but I find that creating the steps in order to get to these ideas is just as fulfilling. From creating props and sets to handling communication between the clients, I have a hand in every aspect of a set.
Creative Contribution
A production coordinator first, but a stylist and photographer/filmmaker at heart. My eye for attention to detail allows me to provide creative advice and/or solves for the sets that I’m working on.
Making & Maintaining Inclusive Environments
I always aim to create and maintain a collaborative and lively environment through every role that I have on set. I believe in extending equal opportunities to others, and to look to take opportunities to grow and learn in my own work.
